Project Family- Saturday June 11 2011
We are looking for about 15 to 20 people to help Emily and her family with their backyard. Her husband works and goes to school full time. They have three children who would like to have an area in the backyard to play with their dog without getting foxtails stuck to them. Get the word out, we need to do a little weeding. We need a place close to Apple Valley (they live close to Apple Valley Nazarene Church) for breakfast and we will need a small trailor or truck to load trashbags, hula hoes, trash bags, gloves, water coolers, ice, rakes, and a lot of love.

OPERATION: SPICE OF LIFE-OCTOBER 2
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2 6:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.
The Mayor of Victorville has asked the CIA to assist with the Spice of Life Festival. We will set up, help with parking, facilitate with festival needs and tear down. They will provide us with a free booth so that we can hand out brochures to let the community know we are here for them and that through Christ, they can make an impact as well.
We feel that we will be doing what Christ wants us to do, which is to meet people where they are instead of waiting for them to find us. We need about 50 to 60 people for this project, so please invite your family and friends to help. You can sign up for a specific time of day. This is our opportunity to reach the High Desert for Christ.

PROJECT THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 23
A special “thanks” to the CIA VOLUNTEERS who came out to help The Victor Valley Rescue Mission honor their volunteers and donors for their hard work and dedication. It was a “Community Appreciation Banquet” and the Rescue Mission needed waiters, a clean up crew and food preparers. This event was our chance to give to those who have already given so much to help the homeless and the needy. Thanks Again CIA Volunteers!
MS. EULIE PROJECT
On Saturday, August 14, the CIA met with friends from the High Desert Church to help Ms. Eulie in Apple Valley. There were 14 energetic people pulling weeds, using hula hoes, trimming trees, cleaning an empty pond and doing other miscellaneous things that needed to be done. It was a very hot day and Ms. Eulie provided cold water and delicious cookies. She has a beautiful voice and there were several times when she and Don (from APU) broke out in song.
It was a great day. The College and Career Group from High Desert Church were a joy to work with and they are ready and willing to do other projects with the CIA. God poured His glorious blessings over all of us today!
Be sure to sign up for our next project. You really need to experience all that God has for you when you reach out to help someone in need.
